Cafe Macarong, nestled at 56 Golders Green Road, London, is an oasis for brunch lovers. Patrons rave about its cozy and inviting decor, featuring partitioned shelves adorned with books and trinkets, which create a relaxing atmosphere perfect for casual meetings and leisurely meals. Customers consistently highlight the friendly staff, with several reviews noting their charm and attentiveness.
The café’s menu boasts an impressive selection of both sweet and savory items. The Matcha Rollcake and Katsu Chicken Salad particularly stand out. While the Matcha Rollcake is visually stunning, some suggest a reduction in sweetness for a more balanced flavor. Meanwhile, the Katsu Chicken Salad is celebrated for its delightful combination of textures and flavors, truly a culinary masterpiece.
Drinks like caramel coffee and refreshing bubble tea have also received accolades, though some patrons note the bubble tea could benefit from a lighter hand with sweetness. Don’t miss the intimate experience and culinary delights that await!

Very nicely decorated interior. Pretty cozy and relaxing. Staff members are all nice and friendly. Their cups and plates are all so pretty. Cakes weren't overly sweet and they were very nice. Would go back again.

I met a friend at Caffe Nero in Golders Green for a chat. It does not do Caffe Nero any favours; it’s small, stuffy and rather drab. But it can also become very noisy – not helped by the incessant pop music that seems to have become compulsory wherever you go these days. But after about 20 minutes, with a loud group of youngsters adding to the racket, we walked out and strolled along Golders Green Road looking for somewhere else to have a quiet drink. We looked into a few places that didn’t seem very inviting but then we encountered Macrong. The decor seemed to say ‘do come in’ so we did. Absolutely the right decision. The interior is delightful; the walls have partitioned shelves bearing books, ornaments and other trinkets. The place is spacious, clean and very peaceful too - worlds away from cafe Nero. The waitress was charming but it could be said that service was not the fastest; but who cares? Unless you're in a rush, you're probably in there to have a chat with a friend and some food or drink. We shall certainly be returning there in future; we had already eaten that day so we had only light snacks, but the varied menu looked most tempting and next time it will be for a full meal.

One of my all-time favourite places for having food, relaxing, doing some work or just chilling with friends! It's a very cozy place, warm atmosphere, the design of the cafe is very nice, it's one of my favourite things there. The food is also tasty, and the coffee and other beverages are amazing. We've tried the caramel coffee, smoothies, cakes, breakfast toasts, among others, and have been delighted with a good and tasty feast each time. Highly recommend!

Cafe Macarong Review: A Delightful Yet Slightly Sweet Experience A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere This was not our first visit to Cafe Macarong, and it's always a pleasure to return to its cozy and inviting ambiance. The cafe has a charm that has captivated me since my pre-COVID visits. A Sweet Tooth's Delight with a Suggestion Today, we indulged in the visually stunning Matcha Rollcake. It was a treat for the eyes and the palate, delicately crafted with finesse. However, for a truly harmonious taste experience, we would suggest a slight reduction in the sweetness of the cream filling. Bubble Tea: A Sweet Treat with Room for Adjustment The Bubble Tea with tapioca and lychee tea was a refreshing beverage, but the lychee tea base leaned a bit too far towards the sweet side. A touch less sweetness would allow the delicate lychee flavor to shine through. Chicken Katsu Salad: A Culinary Masterpiece The Katsu Chicken Salad was an absolute triumph, a symphony of textures, flavors, and colors that left us speechless. The harmony was impeccable! If we were to nitpick, we might suggest slightly thicker slices of chicken, but that's merely a minor detail. Aromatic Dried Fruit Tea: A Memory-Inducing Delight We also savored an incredibly fragrant dried fruit tea with a delightful tartness. Unfortunately, the name eludes us at the moment – a three-word title with two repetitions, a memory puzzle we're determined to solve. But one thing is certain: the aroma was truly captivating! A Suggestion for Improved Accuracy We would like to gently suggest that the cafe management review its operating hours. The menu states a closing time of 9 pm, and Google also reflects this information for Saturdays. However, our waitress informed us that the cafe closes at 8:30 pm on Saturdays. Ensuring accurate information across all platforms will help your visitors better plan their time at your cozy and delectable establishment. A Grateful Heart and a Promise to Return Thank you for the delightful experience, Cafe Macarong. Your dedication to culinary excellence is evident in every dish and beverage. We look forward to returning soon to savor more of your creations.

I liked this tea room, which was perfect for our plan of laid back afternoon tea. They had one gluten free cake, a kind of flourless chocolate mousse cake and basque cheesecakes, which we had with iced coffee and peppermint tea. All was served by very sweet caring ladies!

Absolutely the best macarons I have ever had in my life! Granted, I don't generally even like them, and so I rarely pick any up. But these may have changed my mind. The flavours are interesting, the filling is very generous, they are not too sweet, and are crispy without being dried out, and they are beautiful to look at. They hit every checkbox. But even cookies aside, this place is wonderful. From the kind woman working, to the snacks, to the coffee, to the atmosphere, I just really enjoyed my experience here. The place is very warm (in coziness feeling, not overly hot in temperature). Loads of seating, and everyone there was relaxed and happy. It looked to be a lot of students. A few on laptops, one with a book, but mostly just friends hanging out over coffee. A really pleasant vibe that is absent in so many places now. We grabbed some tea and coffee, cake, macarons, and Korean chicken wings. The wings were better than expected. I hadn't even wanted anything savory but they were delicious. Tea and coffee was generous, and cappuccino was really smooth. The chocolate cake was okay. I wouldn't say it was anything extraordinary. Basic chocolate cake, no surprises. Again, macarons were AMAZING. We actually ordered more after tasting the first two. I could have sat there much longer and enjoyed even more of the Korean food, but we had obligations elsewhere. What a lovely little cafe. A real gem in the area.

I absolutely love this cafe, it has such a warm, cosy ambiance! I love coming here to read and have a nice cup of coffee or a chai latte. The cheescake was also lovely!
